Integrated fibre laser cutting system Laser Photonics is launching Titan FXi, a new product targeting the growing demand for compact, reliable and easy- to-use industrial-grade laser equipment for metal processing. The Titan FXi combines advanced technology with a small footprint. With CO 2 and most fibre laser cutting integrated and requires only power and exhaust connections. The Titan FXi features fibre laser cutting technology, motion system technology and CNC controls in one space-saving unit. With plug-and-play installation it is simple and safe to operate and is virtually maintenance free. The system comes as standard with a latest- generation ytterbium 2 kW fibre laser, and is field upgradeable to 10 kW with the optional coupler system.

Three different sizes of machine are available – 4x8 ft, 5x10 ft and 6x17 ft – with motorised single shuttle material handling system (an optional dual shuttle is available). Laser Photonics has delivered laser machines to industries such as defence, government, aerospace, automotive, biotech, fashion, medical, manufacturing and food processing. Its systems include laser 3D metal printing (additive manufacturing), laser cutting, laser marking, laser engraving, laser etching, laser cleaning, cold laser marking, and laser deep engraving systems.

machines, manufacturers need to invest in and install bulky chillers, expensive gas delivery systems, exhaust lines, power connections, and the large laser component. This can increase the required space to operate up to 40 per cent more than the cutting unit itself. Each system also requires separate expert maintenance throughout its service cycle. The Titan FXi is fully

The Titan series of fibre laser cutters all feature fully enclosed class 1 safety systems, software-controlled CNC programming, small heat affected zone, high cutting quality and fast cutting speeds.

Additions to radar level transmitter range Krohne, Inc has announced the addition of three 24 GHz and three 80 GHz Optiwave radar level transmitters to its product line, which complement the existing 6 GHz and 10 GHz devices. The range of Optiwave two-wire loop-powered FMCW radar level transmitters for liquids and solids is suited to industries from chemical and petrochemical to mining, minerals and metals processing, and covers liquid and solid applications. With the Optiwave 1010 (6 GHz), the Optiwave 5200 (10 GHz) and the new Optiwave series of 24 and 80 GHz radars, Krohne offers the appropriate frequency for each application. The new Optiwave 5400, 6400 and 7400 (24 GHz) and Optiwave 3500, 6500 and 7500 (80 GHz) radars are each designed for specific industry needs, delivering reliable and accurate level measurement of liquids and solids, even in difficult applications.

Krohne offers an extensive choice of process connections starting from ¾" for each of the new radar level transmitters, as well as Lens, Drop and Horn antennas to suit all process and installation conditions. The Optiwave transmitters offer a measuring range from the antenna edge up to 100m (328 ft), with accuracy from ±2mm (±0.08"). The transmitters can measure products with dielectric con- stants as low as 1.4, and feature a quick setup assistant for easy commissioning, as well as an empty tank spectrum function for eliminating false reflections.
