Amada Miyachi Europe announces CD-V series welding power supplies

The heads are designed for robust usage and come standard with a robust stand and elec- trodes. Typical applications for the CD-V series include battery tab welding, interconnects, honeycomb tacking, fine wire to pad processes and jewellery repair. Key features of the CD-V series include built-in peak current indication for immediate weld fire confirmation, pulse shaping with adjustable upslope to reduce expulsion during welds, an ultra- fast rise time for conductive material welding, and the ability to go rapid fire between pulses for quick welding of adjacent locations.

Amada Miyachi Europe, a manufacturer of equipment and systems for laser welding, laser marking, laser cutting, resistance welding, micro arc welding, hermetic sealing and hot bar reflow soldering and bonding, has announced the CD-V Series of Capacitive Discharge Power Supplies and TL-V Series of weld heads. According to the company, the CD-V Series features a fully controllable dual pulse output and a full-colour 3.5" user interface, which gives consistent welding output for repeatable process results. The TL-V weld heads are designed to complement the new power supplies and there are four variants with air actuated and manual actuated motion.

Due to the limited space available in this case, the high-pressure cleaning units placed in several lines are supplied from a central tank system that includes filtration and continuous refreshment of the cleaning medium. The structure of continuous ultrasonic cleaning of precious metal strips for the production of stamped, welded and bent parts was more conventional. The system for process speeds up to 10m/min is divided into cleaning, rinsing and drying areas. In the final drying, the compressed air is heated to support the drying effect by convection. The scope of delivery included a unit made up of the rewinder and unwinder. The construction of a combined brush and high-pressure cleaning system for steel profiles has already been initiated. In this wet chemical cleaning system to reduce emulsion and rolling abrasion, the brushes are continuously supplied with cleaning fluid.

Thedesign and constructionof customer- specific tape cleaning systems was one of the company’s focuses in 2019, primarily due to production demands, in particular the size of the system and the different areas of application of the end products. The in-line cleaning of band saw blades of various widths in compact, single- stage high-pressure cleaning systems with variably adjustable nozzles, was found by the company to be an uncomplicated task, since the line speeds were moderate – a maximum of 4.5m/min. Particles and emulsions could be removed from the band saw blade surface with hot water. The installation of three GEO high- pressure nozzles in a compact system provided the required surface quality for the cleaning of steel profiles at a line speed of approximately 30m/min.
