Depth of experience in the building services sector was a key requirement in building the new UK sales team. The new national sales manager, Dan Ternent, has day-to-day responsibility for key accounts and for managing the team. The new technical sales manager for the Republic of Ireland is John Crofton, who has spent more than 40 years working in the country’s tubes and fittings sector.
Conex Bänninger has expanded its UK sales team in a bid to raise further awareness of its wide range of commercial, industrial and domestic plumbing fittings. The IBP Group company has recruited strongly over the past 12 months, adding expertise to the knowledgeable team. This includes the newly created role of national sales manager and, for the first time, a dedicated technical sales manager for the Republic of Ireland. Dan Wild, business unit director, UK and Ireland, said, “In making this investment we are demonstrating our commitment to bringing the right people into the business who will help drive the brand forward.” Marketing will focus on the flame- free >B< Press range, which has the advantage of a three-point press, providing a safe, secure and repeatable joint. As a flame-free jointing system it eliminates the need for a hot works permit. “Some in the industry have yet to change to press,” said Mr Wild. “Our objective will be to convert the market away from brazing, demonstrating that a three-point press has greater benefits.”
