Hempel expands business activities Following the integration of the UK-based Precision Strip Service Centre of Firmus Metals into the Hempel Special Metals Group in 2016, and the subsequent takeover of the business activities of TK-Fittings GmbH during 2018, Hempel Special Metals furthered its scope of supply towards completing a full range of services offered in high- performance materials and forms.

“With this expansion of our business activities we are strengthening the entire Hempel Special Metals Group in the area of fittings/piping and thin slit strip,” said managing director Andre Hempel. “The TK-Fittings brand and the associated quality and reliability will be continued, and the business can be continuously expanded internationally by the Hempel Special Metals Group of companies.” TK-Fittings has been manufacturing and supplying fittings, flanges and special

parts in stainless steels and nickel alloys for more than 30 years, while Hempel Special Metals’ headquarters in Switzerland will soon celebrate its 100 th anniversary. Hempel Special Metals is one of Europe’s largest stockholders of titanium, nickel alloys and stainless steels.

Annual US Water Treatment Conference
