Penspen partners with MJMEnergy for the study of gas pipeline network in Senegal

Penspen, a provider of engineering and management services to the oil and gas industry, recently partnered with gas and energy consultancy MJMEnergy, to work together on the early development phase of Senegal’s gas-to-power study. Penspen will undertake technical investigations of the natural gas network scenarios for connecting potential gas consumers with new gas supplies. It will also provide a conceptual design for the gas network infrastructure, a cost estimate and schedule for developing the network, and risk assessments for the design, land access, construction, operation, environmental, social and technical aspects. New chip-less cutting line for coiled tubes Reika, a German machine-tool manu- facturer for tubular applications, has launched the new 218/318 Compact machine series. re-designed and placed into a new compact machine design with a chamfering and facing section and high- performance transport systems. The straightening section can be equipped with a quick-change device for the different tube diameters, allowing set-up times of less than one minute.

The concentric, hydraulically operated gripper device is driven by servo axis, as well as the turning table and the other machine axis. Automatic flaw cut- out and automatic connector cut-out are integrated with a colour detection and positioning system. The parts are cut chip-less with rotating tools and minimum material waste. Tool lifetime reaches up to 150,000 cuts. The cut parts are transported via automatic grippers into and through the chamfering section, and parts are length measured and discharged to the following bins or forming machines.
