Tilted disc check valves Val-Matic’s Tilted Disc ® check valve provides low head loss and non-slam performance. Its streamlined body

contouring, flow area 40 per cent greater than nominal pipe size and hydrodynamic disc combine to provide

what the company describes as the lowest head loss of any check valve produced today. Non-slam closure is ensured by both an angled seat design that minimises disc travel and an offset pivot-mounted disc. The valve’s tapered seat and disc, designed with wear-resistant materials, ensure tight seating and long life even in the most severe applications. Top- or bottom-mounted oil dashpots can be added for systems with extreme conditions such as high shut-off heads, surge tanks or multiple pump applications. The Tilted Disc check valve is suitable for a wide range of media such as raw water, cooling water, treated water and wastewater effluent. The especially compact version LS04-XS (XS for extra small) can be operated as a single solenoid 5/2 directional valve. With the standard version LS04-AF (AF for all functions), developers can choose from 5/2, 5/3, and 2x3/2 directional valves with all of the classic functions. Lightweight and compact pneumatic valve for mobile applications

The nominal flow is 200 l/min for LS04- XS and 170 to 310 l/min for LS04-AF. The pneumatic valves are available with pipe connection diameters of 4 and 6mm. They are equipped with both two-pin and three-two round plug connectors (M8); a plug connector diameter of 10mm determines the minimum width of the valve series.

Positioned as close as possible to the actuator, modern valves ensure short switching times and high energy efficiency. The prerequisite for this is a compact valve with minimal weight. With the LS04, Aventics offers a valve series that is particularly suited for direct assembly on moving machine and system parts. Only 10.8mm in width for the valve body, the design is the basis both for compact dimensions and low weight. By relying on polyamide and aluminium, the Aventics developers went a step further in their design for the LS04 spool valve. With a minimal switch-on time of 9 milliseconds, the valve assists with precise positioning of, for example, tools mounted on robot arms.
