New Victrex CEO to execute growth strategy Jakob Sigurdsson joined Victrex in September 2017 as CEO-designate, and became CEO on 1 October, succeeding Dave Hummel, who retired after 24 years as CEO. Driving polyetheretherketones such as Victrex™ PEEK into new applications in a range of key industries, including automotive, aerospace, electronics, energy, manufacturing and engineering, and medical has seen good progress over the past 24 years with Dave Hummel as chief executive.

Teletest business transfer to Eddyfi opens new opportunities

With effect from 13 October 2017, Plant Integrity Ltd – a wholly owned subsidiary of TWI – sold its Teletest ® equipment business to Eddyfi Technologies, a specialist in advanced non-destructive testing solutions. Plant Integrity and TWI have developed, manufactured and commercialised the Teletest guided wave ultrasonic testing system for detecting corrosion in pipes and pipelines over the past 20 years. The business transfer is a result of growing demand for the Teletest suite of equipment, and an opportunity to substantially expand its application. It will offer clients continued service, while allowing accelerated Teletest product development to meet growing and complex industrial need.
