Carbon steel tubes

Stainless production for the automotive sector

Marcegaglia has developed a unique know-how in the manufacturing of precision tubes to meet the strict dimensional and surface specifications required by manufacturers in several sectors. The range of carbon steel precision welded tubes, developed over more than 50 years of industrial operations, is the world’s largest in terms of variety of profiles and thicknesses, production standards and fields of application: the Italian group can count

heating and ventilation, gas and water line pipes, and chemical industry among others. The certified product range of Marcegaglia cold-drawn welded tubes is manufactured within Europe’s largest specialised plant in Boltiere, as well as in the brand new Chinese production complex in Yangzhou (inaugurated on 19 April 2011). Mechanical properties, as well as strictly controlled dimensional tolerances, give cold-drawn tubes significant advan- tages for several precision applications. These dedicated manufacturing plants regularly supply the world markets with a specialised production for the hydraulic cylinder industry and other automotive applications. Marcegaglia’s special range of refrigera- tion tubes is manufactured according to the specific sector norms and tolerances, and is thoroughly tested to allow use in applications such as condensers and evaporators for heating and cooling systems and household appliances.
