PE-Xc and aluminium compound piping Hewing, Germany, is a specialist in PE-Xc and aluminium compounding piping. Over the last 30 years more than 2bn metres of physically cross- linked polyethylene pipe and aluminium compound pipe have left the Hewing factories, making the company one of the world’s largest producers in the sanitary and heating industry. With physical cross-linking, a simple PE pipe becomes a PE-Xc pipe at Hewing, with outstanding characteristics. Changes in the molecular structure improve the resistance to pressure and heat exponentially. Even the service life of the refined plastic extends. The flexible aluminium composite pipe is made by combining PE-X pipe with an internal aluminium coating. It brings together the characteristics of the flexible plastic pipe and the compressive strength and shape stability of the light alloy. The pipe gains special characteristics, allowing very tight bending radii and an expanding of the pipe of up to 20% without any loss of quality. Together with customers, Hewing designs
