Large N-pumps ITT Water & Wastewater, UK, is a provider of products, systems and processes to move, control and treat water, wastewater and other fluids. The company’s four key product brands are Flygt, Sanitaire, Wedeco and Leopold.

Flygt specialises in heavy duty pumping and mixing technology.

The company has extended its Flygt N-pump range of efficient wastewater pumps, with the introduction of larger pumps – up to 300kW – suited to heavy duty applications such as pumping ‘raw’, unscreened wastewater.

The large centrifugal pumps have self-cleaning impellers, reducing the risk of them being blocked. This is an important feature in high volume, raw wastewater pumping applications. Steve Gilbert, market manager – municipal transportation for ITT Water & Wastewater, said, “The non-clogging properties of the Flygt N-pump reduce service call- outs, help keep maintenance costs down and ensure pumps continue to run efficiently over long service periods. These are all important considerations for water companies. There has been a definite need for a clog-resistant pump in these larger sizes.”

While the pumps are fully submersible, they can be installed

vertically dry and are also able to operate within explosive and flammable environments when fitted with the ‘Ex’ version of the drive unit. Existing Flygt units can be retrofitted to the Flygt ‘N’ impeller.

In the UK and Ireland, ITT Flygt also provides rental, monitoring and control, and aftermarket services as part of its total solutions portfolio.

With a complete range of fusion equipment, including PitBulls, TracStars and its original wheeled units, McElroy has a polyethylene pipe fusion machine for every pipe size from ½" CTS to 1,600mm. Ningbo Zhehua Heavy Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Shanghai Huaye Iron & Steel Group Co Ltd, specialises in producing various types of steel pipes. The company, established in 2004, is equipped with Lincoln internal and external Fronious welders from America, and tube coiling machines of specification 30x3,000, 12x6,000 and 12x2,000. The company is focused on the production of SAWH of 219- 3,420mm diameter, in thicknesses from Steel pipes from China

6 to 25mm, with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons.
