Laser sensing systems for welding automation
Servo-Robot is a specialist in laser sensing systems for welding automation. The company’s systems are used in the transmission pipe industry to improve weld quality and increase process speed.
Servo-Robot laser sensors can be applied in several stages of pipe and tube production including seam tracking of interior and exterior welds, inspection of seam or weld bead geometry and monitoring of the pipe diameter. The systems consist of one or more laser-cameras with a simple PC-based interface to perform initial setup and to provide data logging and trending capability.
Auto-Trac seam tracking system applied to S S exterior welding of spiral pipe
The Auto-Trac system is designed for seam tracking with fixed automation systems typically found on spiral pipe mills. The Robo-Trac system offers seam tracking for articulated welding robots. The systems support many types of welding, including Submerged arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and gas metal arc welding. There are also systems for laser welding applications. Servo- Robot systems have been successfully used in the production of pressure tanks, spiral pipe mills and other applications that require high quality welds.
The company’s range of products includes systems for seam tracking, seam finding, weld inspection and laser welding modules.
