Super clean and inner grooved copper tube Qaem Copper Industries Company is a producer of seamless copper tube, supplying air conditioning and refrigeration companies in the Middle East with a wide range of plain and inner grooved tubes. The company has installed advanced productionandquality control equipment from companies including Otto Junker and Schumag, to produce the best possible products. The special annealing furnace at Qaem plant has a copper tube purging (CTP) system, which provides a protective atmosphere through level-wound copper tube coils during the anneal cycle. This enhances the evaporation of lubricants from the inner surface of the tube to levels below 0.1mg/dm 2 , resulting in super clean tube products. One of Qaem’s speciality products is the inner grooved copper tube. Spirally running grooves on the inner surface of the tube increase its contact area and also result in turbulent flow of refrigerant. The heat transfer coefficients of the inner grooved tubes are typically two to three times those of comparable size plain products. The application of inner grooved tubes has been known to improve the thermal efficiency of some fin block heat exchangers by more than 30%. Qaem also produces a variety of copper tubes for electrical purposes. Copper cable lug is used as a connecting terminal in electric power transfer. It is suitable for the connection of copper conductors in power cables with electronic equipment. Qaem produces the copper tubes for cable lugs according to DIN standard using tough pitch copper (T2) with purity above 99.9%. These are usually supplied in straight lengths in a number of tempers.
