The waiting is almost over as wire and cable companies from around the world prepare to head to Düsseldorf, Germany, for wire 2014. The most eagerly anticipated exhibition in the calendar bursts into life from 7 th to 11 th April, and judging by the news in our 224-page issue of EuroWire , there will be no shortage of new technology, products and developments on show. Readers will not be surprised that much of this issue has been dedicated to wire 2014, with a 108-page section outlining just some of the companies attending. The encouraging sign for the industry in general is the amount of news; new sta , contract wins and technological developments are all in abundance. Taiwan’s largest steel producer, China Steel Corporation, has enlisted the help of Friedrich Kocks in installing new machinery in a bid to increase production and quality.
