system detects longitudinal defects in the product, but can also be combined with other CMS equipment for complete product inspection, including a magnetising unit, demagnetising unit and sorting system. The production software centralises the signature and the position of the defect and creates an inspection report to ensure traceability. Contrôle Mesure Systèmes www.cmseddyscan.com
Eddy current probes installed inside the cassette rotate at high speed around the product (8,000 rpm in the standard version, or up to 18,000 rpm as an option), while the product moves into the rotating head. The RotoETscan TRVC allows high inspection speeds of up to 6m/s. The nozzles inside the system ensure proper centring during inspection. Connected to CMS’s Zet@Master ET instrument, the
The rotating head RotoETscan TRVC is a special version of the Contrôle Mesure Systèmes (CMS) RotoETscan for the inspection of small diameters ranging from 0.8 to 10mm. The rotating head is suitable for inspection or wire and bars and for longitudinal defect detection. The system, which is easy to install on the production line, integrates a turntable with a cassette adapted to the product diameter.
