PV systems require low-smoke, halogen- free, flame-retardant cables that are UV stabilised for an extended period of use outdoors, often in demanding climatic conditions. The extrusion tip and die determine and strictly control the shape and size of the insulating material. Hard diamond inserted in the die ensures long tool life, even in high-speed processes. The end result is an insulated wire with uniform insulation thickness and precise conductor centring that provides the correct electrical characteristics in the finished product.
