The focus of Rosendahl Nextrom’s booth will be the topic of data transmission. Whether metal conductors or optical fibre, the company has optimised its manufacturing solutions in recent years. Several new features for fibre optic cable production will be presented: • A high-speed fibre launching system, for easier continuous PP dry tube production • A redesigned fibre cutter that saves time and material waste • A new die system for jelly filling, enhancing process stability • A dual-clenching system to increase production speed by up to 25 per cent • Advanced ribbon cable technology for optical performance and mechanical strength, including a buffering process for rollable ribbons There will also be news in the field of metal communication cables, including an AI-based algorithm for the foaming process; tighter tolerances and improved electrical properties; smart control of gas flow for foam systems for repeat- able quality; and reduction of start-up scrap.

For 30 years, SETIC and Pourtier and their US branch, Gauder Group Inc, have been building knowledge, experience and ability to serve the wire and cable industry in the US market. The companies design and manufacture rotating machines for non-ferrous cable, offering a wide range of twisting/ stranding solutions to cable makers. SETIC specialises in data communication and LAN cable machinery for automation, AI, robotics, aerospace and data analytics sectors, as well as automotive wire equipment. It provides high-speed double twist pairing/quadding and single twist lines for the automotive industry and high quality LAN, special and control cables. The company continuously develops new lines and concepts for non-ferrous cables to meet customer needs such as special high-speed lines, better tension control, and ergonomic and eco-friendly machinery. Pourtier’s heavy-duty rotating machines produce all types of power cables, includ ing overhead, submarine, high voltage and extra-high voltage. The company can supply heavy-duty stranders, cablers and armouring lines for non-ferrous cables, and in the field of submarine and umbilical cables offers a complete range of stranding, paper lap ping, cabling and armouring machines. The Pourtier multi-wire concentric strand ing lines (mass production) and SETIC large double twist range of products are also used for low and medium power cable production. All of the machines are made to high European standards in design and manu facturing for the production of all types of high voltage and extra-high voltage power cable, from overhead cable (in cluding ACCC™, ACSS-TW and ACSR-TW) to insulated AC type cable (using Milliken conductor) or DC type (using large, round compacted conductor or trapezoidal wires) with up to 127 wires. The C2S customer services department maintains machine productivity and enhances product quality, for any brand of equipment. C2S is being assigned spare parts, upgrades, technical audits and main- tenance projects, as well as transfer and restart operations of complete lines.

TapeFormers will launch its new bro chure at Interwire, as well as showcasing its new development: USA Building Wire TapeFormers designed for forming paper tapes around the ground wire and then assembling cores and ground wire in a single TapeFormer. Based on the Model C and D TapeFormer dimensions, the new units allow com plete longitudinal paper tape wrapping during the manufacture of building wire. The design consists of two TapeFormers fitted together with a ceramic guide to accommodate the copper ground wire insertion.

With processes, Rosendahl Nextrom says its machines provide the best preconditions for high performance data cables, such as Cat8, and special cables for use in medicine, aerospace and military applications.
