copper busbar, trolley wire and other shaped conductors, round refrigeration tube, multiport or PFC tubes in different alloys. Conklad technology is available for applications such as AS wire, OPGW, CATV, sheathed composite cores, reinforced aluminium wire and other similar products requiring an aluminium sheath or non-ferrous cladding. BWE’s SheathEx™ technology is a solution for seamless aluminium sheathing of high voltage cables. Corrugated (helical or annular) and/or smooth options are available. The SheathEx process provides a continuous and seamless aluminium sheath with no weld. The aluminium sheath has good conductivity and environmental properties, and is lightweight and reliable. By using standard CCR aluminium rod, the material costs are low. BWE continues to develop new products and applications, including wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), 3D printing, electric vehicles and precious metals. Proving trials and demonstrations are available at BWE’s headquarters in Ashford, Kent, UK. The company’s research and development department will consider and prove any new application prior to investment. BWE also manufactures and supplies a complete range of cold welders and dies for fast and reliable welding of non ferrous materials from fine wire to round rod. A range of machines will be on display and available for demonstration. BWE Ltd www.bwe.co.uk Established in France in 1981, Cersa-MCI operates in the field of measurement and control instruments, designing and manufacturing measuring devices for fine wires, cables and optical fibres. as interferometers, diffraction and cameras ensure high-speed measurements and high accuracy. The company’s sensors can be used on- or off-line for non-contact measurement applications. Cersa-MCI’s first device for fine wire measurement – the LDS – is still in production, available with one or two axes for diameter monitoring during the drawing process or for off-line Advanced technologies such Cersa-MCI Booth 322

AESA Cortaillod SA Booth 232

AESA Cortaillod is a Swiss manufacturer of automatic test equipment, specialising in testing solutions to fully characterise electrical parameters of cables and wires. At Interwire, the company will show its Scorpius DT unit for high frequency parameters of coaxial cables.

Blachford’s team will welcome visitors to Atlanta

The company’s in-field engineers and experienced R&D team work closely with customers to fully understand each application’s technical requirements, then design products and programmes that meet those goals. In 2018, Blachford began to sell a new line of pre-coats for ferrous wire. One of its newest products, Chemdraw BSS 300, is a non-reactive pre-coat, intended to replace zinc-phosphate coatings; and the latest product offering is Chemdraw BSS-400 – a pre-coat formulated without boric acid. Joining Blachford at the Interwire booth this year will be partner company Metalube UK, a specialist in the production of lubricants for drawing non-ferrous wire and tubes. Lubricool™, Alumol™ and Tubol™ products still remain a key part of the portfolio, and OCG™, a range of protective greases for overhead line conductors, is a more recent addition to the core product line. Integrated Scorpius DT unit for coaxial cable measurement

The equipment is a complete and integrated solution to characterise coaxial cables with embedded VNA (vector network analyser) and Windows computer. Different versions are available to measure up to 18 GHz and more. The Scorpius DT can be used with AESA’s new coaxial universal connectors for quick and reliable connection of coaxial cables to the N-ports of the device. AESA also offers also baluns and balunless solutions for single-pair Ethernet cables, LAN or category cable up to Cat8, high voltage (6 kV) testers, data management systems, ISO17025 certification, and linear resistance measuring equipment covering very small to very large section range, either in the lab or directly on the line. Interwire will also be an opportunity for AESA to officially start its collaboration with its new representative for the USA and Canada. Amaral Automation, founded more than 20 years ago and based in Warwick, Rhode Island, provides a large range of technical solutions and consulting services to the wire and cable industry.
