cables, and XLPE CV extrusion lines for low/medium voltage cables. The company also supplies lines and equipment for silicone safety cables – insulation and sheathing silicone extrusion lines with infrared and salt bath vulcanisation systems, as well as for automotive cables, submarine cables, steel wire ropes, telephone and LAN cables, fibre optics and coaxial cables. In addition to complete lines, Cerrini delivers extrusion line components such as payoffs, take-ups, extruders, haul-off units, accumulators and cooling troughs, tailored to customer requirements. All of the equipment can be integrated into existing extrusion lines.

Cerrini manufactures and assembles all of its cable extrusion machines at its facilities in Italy. The production portfolio includes lines and equipment for energy cables: high speed building wire insulation lines with X-flow colour change system, power cable insulation, filling and jacketing lines, THHN/THWN cable extrusion lines, liquid/dry silane crosslinking power cable lines and SZ stranding lines. Its catenary lines include rubber CV ex- trusion lines for low/medium voltage

The tandem rolling mill can be used for reducing the thickness of materials such as precious metals (gold, silver, platinum); special and exotic alloys (niobium, zirconium, molybdenum); copper, brass and aluminium alloys; welding and brazing alloys and wires; special steel alloys (high alloy steels, special steels, etc); and bimetallic and trimetallic products. The innovations made by Invimec to improve the technology of its rolling train bring advantages in terms of optimising thickness reduction times, reducing the number of annealings and in the automatic adjustment of the material tension. Being sensitive to issues related to safety, health and environment, Finproject is committed not only to keep up to date on the substances used in its production, but also to introduce improvements in products supporting these issues. The company’s Cogegum AFR 1809 UV grade has obtained PSVS certification (materials obtained using plastic materials from by- products). Ambient curable crosslinking Padanaplast recently completed the process of formal incorporation into Finproject (a Versalis Company), a major global player in crosslinkable polyolefin compounding, extrusion and moulding, while retaining its long-standing identity and continuing to produce solutions for the wire, cable, pipes and fittings markets. Established in 1971, the company pioneered the technology of silane crosslinkable polyethylene compounds, and has been offering HFFR compounds for cable sheathing, wire insulation, pipe and fitting applications since 1982.

Using its core technologies, ambient curable crosslinking and halogen-free flame retardancy, Finproject serves demanding wire and cable sectors. Areas of expertise include materials for primary insulation, battery cable and EV applications for the automotive industry, with high temperature rating and low ambient impact; and materials for renewable energy, such as PV and

The plant in Roccabianca, near Parma, joins a robust and dynamic company, aimed at continuous evolution to enable strengthened presence in national and international markets. The Roccabianca plant operates 15 production lines certified to EN ISO 9001, ISO EN 14001 and UNI ISO 45001.

The strip is fed into the first rolling stand, passes through the rolls and is automatically guided to the next stand. The operator can select the steps in the cages to exclude some or use them all in combination, and the same sequences can be repeated to achieve the required thickness. The high-carbon steel rolls have a diameter of 245mm. The bars and strips that undergo rolling can have a maximum width of 80mm and a maximum thickness of 28mm. During
