The Kalmark model RF-61-500 display unit is suitable for use upstream in tandem with double-twist or single-twist stranders to produce single input wire [SIW] compact stranded cables of both aluminium alloy and copper conductors. The system is typically applied to 1.6m or 1.8m size double twist stranders in three or four stages to enable the production of up to 37 wires of 240mm square or of 500 MCM cables. Alternatively, with the use of four or ve stages, and in line with a Kalmark single-twist strander, up to 61 wires of 500mm square or 1,000 MCM cables can be produced. Kalmark roll form modules can be supplied for retro- t installation with customer-owned exiting double-twist stranders for a reel range of 1.2m to 2.5m.
