Complementing the coating processes, CTS o ers a turnkey operation that not only includes the coating and restoration of worn metal parts, but also the manufacturing of many of the wear parts that come into contact with wire and cable equipment on a daily basis. CTS also manufactures rollers and sleeves from solid carbide for descaling, straightening, forming and mill roll applications. In addition to coatings, metal part restoration and manufacturing, CTS capabilities include CNC machining, precision grinding, shot peening, component assembly, and research and development. Mark Patrizzia, sales engineer, said: ”CTS is fully committed to serving the wire and cable industry, and has invested close to $1 million in new equipment to increase the nishing size (diameter) of capstans, and other large parts. “CTS will be adding the VTL-60 and ET-40 CNC turning equipment with optional grinding capabilities that will enable us to nish diameters up to 60".” The new range of equipment will complement an extensive spraying and nishing equipment lineup of robotic spray guns; turntables with tilt and indexing; linear gun trolleys; automated spray cells; large spray lathes; CNC machining centres; engine lathes; CNC grinders; and super- nishing machinery. In addition to o ering a wide range of customisable machinery, Fenn’s sta are available to perform upgrades or modi cations to customers’ existing equipment to meet the demands of evolving metal forming requirements. services are available on any type of Fenn equipment. Most recently, Fenn rebuilt a customer’s four-high rolling mill to meet the changing needs of the company. The rebuild allowed the customer to keep the original machine, while increasing the production quantities, expedite the roll change process, and maximise uptime. Fenn recognises the need of the customer to maintain equipment and replenish worn or damaged parts. To best serve customers, it keeps a large inventory of spare parts in stock and available for shipment. As well as providing rebuilds, its experienced engineers are willing to work in collaboration with customers to produce one-of-a-kind customised machines to suit any speci c appli- cation. For example, engineers recently custom-designed and built a Torin torsion winder for a customer who needed a specialised coiling machine. This machine increased the customer’s production by 30 per cent. Fenn LLC – USA Website : www.fenn-torin.com Upgrade and rebuild
