Berardi to offer a range of more than 25,000 types of springs, ready in stock for any product market. With a main office in New York, four other manufacturing facilities in the USA, and branches in Mexico, China, India and the UK, Lee Spring creates springs in technical materials and with treatments upon request, managing approximately 24,000 spring codes, all available in the warehouse. Berardi has selected 3,000 Lee Spring spring codes, among the most common ones, but the full range can be viewed on the Lee Spring website. Flexibility in creating springs according to the customer’s drawing allows Lee Spring to resolve problems for those working in technical, manufacturing and purchasing departments. If the required spring, or a valid alterna- tive, cannot be found among the 24,000 codes in the catalogue, customers can request a design and will quickly receive an offer, including all of the technical information needed.

The manufacturing capacity for Lee Spring’s catalogue springs starts from a wire diameter of 0.127mmup to 9.982mm, based on the type of spring. Materials used range from harmonic steel to a series of alloys, including 316 and 17-7 stainless steel, Inconel 600, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper and Hastelloy. The products include ultrasonic cleaning, passivation, powder coating, thermal treatment and polishing. The base for shipping of products to Berardi Bullonerie is Lee Spring’s London facility, which has large warehouses with all catalogue material in stock. Würth significantly expands online CAD database Würth Industry North America (WINA), an industrial distributor of supply chain solutions for fasteners, MRO and safety equipment, has added more than 50,000 C-parts to the Würth “CADalog”, its online CAD database, bringing the total number of parts listed to more than 57,000. Users can access the free service via WINA’s website to search for 2D and 3D CAD drawings of C-parts. Filters for search results include product type, thread size, dimensions, threads per inch, material, plating and grade. Each part’s

page includes downloadable 2D and 3D CAD drawings with part specifications and measurements that users can utilise on their engineering platforms. In addition to viewing and downloading CAD files, users can email CAD files to others, connect with a Würth technical application specialist to request more information on specific parts, and request additional parts to be added to the CADalog. New C-parts have been added to the previously established categories of bolts, nuts and washers, with six new categories created and updated with new parts: rings, pins, rivets, keys, rods and studs. The nine main categories are further or- ganised into several dozen subcategories to streamline search and navigation. “Our customers look to us to provide comprehensive technical expertise and the C-part product data they need to make intelligent prototype and design decisions,” said Dan Hill, chief executive officer for Würth Industry North America. “Wewill continue to invest in the growth of our online parts database as on-demand access to robust product data increases productivity and improves design quality for our customers.”
