pass. Due to the very hard coating layer (physical) and hardly soluble surface, ZEL 503 can be used as an alternative to inline phosphate coating. In the eld of wire forming and welding machines, Ultimate will be showing some of the latest versions of the ultimat range of wire forming machines. New models include the UMW-65, suitable for a wire range of 2 to 6.5mm and speci cally designed for manufacturers of point-of-purchase displays and supermarket shelving, as well as many other applications. The larger UMW-100 model is suitable for a wire range of 3 to 10mm, as used by manufacturers of supermarket products, and oven and refrigerator shelving. Other new models for 2018 include the ultimat range of two-axis, PC-controlled wire forming machines, featuring a “closed die” forming and cutting system for a high quality square, burr-free cut and butt weld. Options available include secondary bend heads for intricate forms, tilting table models, larger components, or for forming spiral forms used in fan guards. Press, drilling, threading and chamfering stations and automatic part unloading systems are also available. Six standard models cover a wire range from 2 to 16mm, with a maximum frame size of 60"x 60". The versatile ultimat design negates the need for special tooling to produce parts and components. Special versions can be supplied for use with at strip or pro led wire. Ultimate’s product line is not limited to standard wire forming machines: the company can also design and manufacture special purpose models to suit customer requirements.

A range of products from Traxit

One highlight is the new sodium soap SL 805, with a high fat content and a boron compound below the level for labelling requirements. from galvanised to phosphated wires and from low to high carbon wires. SL 805 is a low-dust product and shows a very low consumption. The moisture absorption is also reduced to a minimum. New calcium-based dry lubricants of the G Series o er low-dust formation and reduced consumption throughout the entire drawing process in competitive conditions. EHD 550 has been developed especially for wet drawing of welding wires. The emulsion is based on natural modi ed raw materials, which guarantees a pressure-stable lubricating lm, even at low concentrations. The biggest advantage with EHD 550 is the usage at the skin pass and also at the multi-draft wet drawing. Other bene ts include high acid stability and resistance to any pollution from the pre-drawing. The emulsion EHD 8000 can be used for low to high carbon wires that are phosphated or galvanised. The precise ratio of saponi ed components to emulsi ed vegetable-based oils is the key to this next-generation emulsion with its high cleaning capability and lubrication properties. The particular advantage of EHD 8000 is its microstability, which guarantees an extended lifetime of the bath with constant lubrication performance. ZEL 512 is a boron-free, non-reactive salt coating agent for low to high carbon wires. It contains polymers and other special additives to achieve short drying times, and new process protection system (PPS). ZEL 503 is also a boron-free salt coating agent (PPS) for non-phosphated, patented cold heading wires. The wire is coated with ZEL503 inline and drawn with a skin Possible applications range
