reliably detects contamination on the surface as well as inside plastic pellets. Contaminated pellets are automatically sorted out. Sikora engineers developed the Purity Concept systems for small material throughputs, and applications where sample testing or an incoming goods inspection is su cient. These analysis devices are alternatively equipped with X-ray technology, optical cameras or infrared sensors and detect contamination in pellets, akes and tapes. For example, Purity Concept systems are used to analyse pellets that have been detected and sorted out by the Purity Scanner. Another typical application is the testing of tapes that are used when manufacturing factory joints. The interplay of online and o ine inspection and analysis provides absolute control of the material purity as well as the development of a database to further improve processes and avoid future contamination. Further devices will include: • Lump 2000 measuring technology for the detection of lumps and neckdowns in two or three measuring planes with double sensor technology

preventative maintenance programme for grooved rolls. The static dancer roll (patent pending) replaces the conventional dancer roller or tuner roller on a wire drawing machine. With the conventional roller, the combination of high heat, draw lube contamination and general wear causes wire surface scratching, ball bearing seizure and constant maintenance. Backed by a year’s worth of engineering and Sjogren’s 90-year history of innovation within the wire and cable industry, the PB series provides a simple, modular design for wire straighteners. The PB series maximises e ciency with a design that minimises space and set-up time while eliminating the need for complicated and costly base plates for mounting. The PB series comes with grooved rolls, precision ball bearings, and available digital readout adjustment capability. Sjogren Industries also introduced its preventative maintenance programme for straighteners and groove rolls, designed to keep product lines running and minimise downtime.

• Ultratemp 6000 for non-contact temperature measurement of the polyethylene melt • Capacitance 2000: Innovative capacitance measurement with multi-zone technology and integrated FFT and SRL analysis • Display and control systems: Ecocontrol 6000, 1000 and 600 processor systems, and the display and control devices Remote 2000 and Display 2000

Sjogren Industries Stand: 11E50

Sjogren Industries will be showcasing its product line, utilising a fully functioning wire-pulling machine to demonstrate the features and bene ts of its rollers and straighteners. In 2017 Sjogren Industries celebrated its 90 th anniversary by launching two new products – the static dancer roll (SDR) and the pivot bar (PB) series; by expanding its workforce; and by introducing a new
