Keir’s patented SureShot and SplitShot air wipes provide an e ective drying method without depending on high-volume air consumption. An e cient design yields e ective drying using a very low volume of compressed air and lasts longer due to the rugged ceramic insert lining the wire path. This equates to an over 25 per cent reduction in compressed air usage and an operating life of years rather than months. braided composite standard and BackBone™ yer bow constructions have greater durability than layered or laminated designs, allowing them to take more hits and endure higher stress and providing increased operating life and decreased machine downtime. The more aerodynamic BackBone design functions at lower power consumption (up to 40 per cent less energy) and higher TPM, with improved wire quality and a further reduction in bow breakage and wire scrap. Kieselstein, a manufacturer of wire drawing machines, will not only exhibit a drawing block with a preceding shaving unit, for the production of trolley wire, but will show how it meets the increasing requirements of plant operators by implementing digital solutions. The main topics at the stand will be technological competency in machine engineering and the wide range of services that Kieselstein is able to o er. Of special interest to show visitors will be the various technologies of wire production where Kieselstein possesses high competency – from shaving of steel, aluminium or titanium wire; hot drawing of di cult, transformable materials; drawing of round and pro led wire, and wet drawing; to thermal treatment as an integrated process in wire production, and the coating of wire. Kieselstein o ers di erent technological ideas which can be implemented in individual speci c solutions for each customer.

Another topic will be wire processing, for example the weaving of wire into large wire meshes, cutting wire mesh, and the patented 3D wire structure called strucwire®. The service range of Kieselstein comprises drawing and shaving tests on its own production plant, which is also available for contract processing. The scope of service also includes the supply of spare parts for existing plants, analysis and optimisation of production processes in the wire industry, remote diagnosis of working plants, and retro tting. For new investments, Kieselstein o ers comprehensive consultancy, plant engineering and the development of
