With the Circograph Ro 20 F, Foerster is expanding its Circograph product family with a powerful four-channel rotating head. It is designed for tubes, bars and wires with a small material diameter of 2-20mm. The Ro 20 F provides a sensitive detection of longitudinal defects in the material surface. Defects with a depth from approximately 30µm can be captured in their full length and with high resolution.

Fort Wayne Wire Die was founded in 1937 as a manufacturer of precision single crystal natural diamond dies. Over the years the product line has expanded to include polycrystalline diamond dies, tungsten carbide dies, shaped profile dies, extrusion tips and dies, and other wear parts for the wire industry. The company provides re-cutting and reconditioning services for diamond and carbide dies, and has become a leader in the supply of new and recut matched elongation die sets for high speed, multi-wire drawing machines. Fort Wayne Wire Die also offers a complete line of equipment for die maintenance, measurement and inspection of wire drawing dies. Through this full line of equipment Fort Wayne Wire Die is now able to offer customers worldwide the necessary equipment and tools to operate an in-house re-cutting service. The company’s corporate offices, including engineering, research and development, and administration are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Its products are sold in North America by direct sales engineers; in Europe through its sales office, Fortek GmbH; its sales office Fort Wayne Wire Die (Philippines) Inc sells throughout Asia; the Fort Wayne Wire Die (Shanghai) Inc sales office sells in China; and a network of independent agents and distributors handles further sales around the world. Single crystal natural diamond wire dies featuring X-ray orientation and opti- mum accuracy and surface polish from 0.0003" to 0.114" (0.0075 to 2.9mm) • Polycrystalline diamond (poly-di) dies for maximum die life in sizes from 0.009" to 0.95" (0.023 to 24mm) • Tungsten carbide dies, both round hole and shaped profile, in the standard R-series nibs from R-2 to R-19. Also available as rough core or finished in hole sizes from 0.008" to 3" (0.2 to 76mm) • Extrusion tips and dies – precision custom manufactured extrusion tips in single crystal diamond or polycrystalline diamond with guaranteed concentricity to 0.0002" TIR (0.005mm). Tips and dies are also available in tungsten carbide or tool steel The standard product line includes: •

The Circograph from Foerster

Especially for applications where a high throughput performance is required, the new Circograph Ro 20 F rotating head offers a solution. This includes applications such as the rewinding of tubes, for example in the production of copper tubes, or the drawing of wire. The four sensors, offset by 90º, increase the throughput speed to 6m per second with 100 per cent coverage of the material surface. The easy exchange of the rotating head is guaranteed, due to the same centre height as the existing rotating head Ro 20 P. The rotating head Circograph Ro 20 F can be used for testing ferromagnetic as well as austenitic and non-ferromagnetic material. Test heads are available with 1.5mm, 2.5mm and 5mm track width – analogous to the existing Circograph
