New rotary die design Extrusion tooling specialist Guill Tool has announced the availability of its rotary die. The rotary head offers a simplified design compared to previous models. By rotating the tooling in relation to the material flow, a rotary head increases the wall strength of an extrusion, allowing a thinner wall with less material. Features include only rotating the die, randomising any gauge bands or thickness variations and, in some cases, improving material properties of the end product. Various sizes of tubing can be accommodated with the Guill cam lock design, which reduces set-up and changeover times. Extruders can eliminate secondary processes, and achieve cosmetic enhancement of the end product with the elimination of weld or parting lines, as well as reducing or completely eliminating ovality. Elevating safety standards with launch of LS0H solution

It is suitable for continuous operation in temperatures ranging from -25 to +110°C, ensuring performance in extreme weather conditions. It also offers 103 per cent higher current carrying capacity, compared to traditional wires; and provides more than 85 per cent higher short-circuit temperature withstanding capacity compared to PVC or halogen-free wires. The robust construction features water resistance and abrasion resistance, along with anti-rodent and anti-termite properties. industry standards including REACH, RoHS, CE and CPR. With the 2023 regulations from CEA (Central Electricity Authority) mandating halogen-free wires for public and commercial buildings, Firex LS0H EBXL is positioned to meet the critical safety need across India’s construction sector. RR Kabel Ltd, a wire and cable manufacturer in India, has launched Firex LS0H-EBXL (low-smoke, zero-halogen, electron-beam cross-linked), which enhances electrical safety, utilising an electron-beam cross-linked compound that is completely halogen-free and capable of withstanding temperatures up to 900°C. The product was unveiled in June at an event attended by industry leaders, trade partners and stakeholders. Shreegopal Kabra, managing director of RR Kabel, said, “RR Kabel has consistently pioneered product innovations that positively impact people’s lives. Firex LS0H-EBXL is another stride in this direction, exemplifying our commitment to innovation, safety and sustainability.” Firex LSOH-EBXL is not only chlorine free but also non-toxic and non-corrosive. The cross-linked halogen-free flame retardant insulation ensures above 93 per cent visibility in the case of a fire, eliminating the risk of dark and toxic smoke emissions.
