Davis-Standard achieves “clean sweep” certification

Lubrizol sites certified Three additional Lubrizol Engineered Polymers sites obtained the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus certification at the end of last year. ISCC Plus is a standard for fully traceable sustainable supply chains that allows companies to track and attribute environmentally friendly raw materials along the entire value chain, without altering the production process. The three sites that have achieved this third-party qualification are the Lubrizol Advanced Materials headquarters in Brecksville, Ohio, USA, and the production plants in Avon Lake, Ohio, and Oevel, Belgium. Expanding the use of alternative feedstocks using the mass balance approach whilst adopting this ISCC Plus external verification system as a tracking element will support the acceleration of Lubrizol’s “global sustainability journey”. The certification demonstrates the company’s commitment to preventing plastic pellet (resin) loss and contributing to a cleaner environment, setting a new benchmark for environmental sustainability in the plastics industry. OCS is an international programme de signed to help plastics industry compa nies implement good housekeeping and pellet containment practices.
