Measurement technology for process performance

FlawSense is a surface-flaw detection system that can detect slits, cracks, pits, bumps, blisters, lumps, scratches and neckdowns, while also measuring the cable diameter. The system features automatic 3D “playback”, providing fully digital flaw logging and categorisation. LaserLinc also offers THHN building cable measurement. THHN (thermoplastic high-heat nylon) refers to components and characteristics of the wire’s nylon jacket and PVC insulation. LaserLinc has developed a specialised THHN version of the in-process UltraGauge+ system that measures both insulation layers simultaneously on a THHN tandem or co-extrusion line, providing real-time visualisation of the production process. In addition to in-process measurement and control systems, LaserLinc pro vides a comprehensive range of off-line manual and automated sample meas urement metrology and QC inspection systems. LaserLinc https://laserlinc.com programs can be created quickly and easily, so that the automated inspection process can be rolled out for any number of parts within an organisation’s portfolio. With speeds of over two million measurements per second, Autoscan is an easy-to-implement solution to inspection room backlogs. The entire system is portable, enabling operators to wheel it to where it is needed, removing the need to have dedicated space for the system. Commenting on the MACH event, T3DMC managing director Adam Stanley said, “Our stand was non-stop, with demonstrations throughout the five days of the show. Customers were excited about the newly launched, cost-effective automated inspection solution Autoscan, along with our fantastic range of portable handheld scanners. The team is already excited for the next show, where we look forward to bringing more innovations to customers throughout the UK.” The 3D Measurement Company Ltd www.t3dmc.com

LaserLinc has more than 25 years of ex perience providing customer-focused, in-process and off-line measurement so lutions to optimise process performance and product quality in the wire- and cable-manufacturing environment. The company’s gauges measure wire and cable diameter, ovality, insulation thick ness, eccentricity, and surface flaws and defects. LaserLinc’s Total Vu™ HMI for process visualisation is adaptable, to ensure an optimised, production-line-integrated solution using existing measurement devices and sensors, while offering an upgrade path to meet future needs with LaserLinc gauges. Total Vu provides a platform for produc tion insight, enabling users to shorten start-up cycles, reduce scrap, optimise material usage and increase production efficiency to improve process yield, while accurately inspecting product quality and generating digital SPC reports and FFT/ SRL analysis. LaserLinc also provides a gateway to enable Industry 4.0 for data aggregation and sharing. 3D engineering solutions provider T3DMC (The 3D Measurement Company Ltd) launched at MACH 2022 a selection of laser scanning solutions. Visitors to the company’s stand saw live demonstrations of the SimScan, KScan Magic and TrackScan P42, alongside the new Autoscan automated scanning to inspection solution. Autoscan is an automated 3D inspection system that delivers non-contact, full surface inspection using scan data captured from the latest laser-based technology mounted on a six-axis robotic arm. In addition to ensuring accuracy, Autoscan provides repeatability, and can quickly and effectively carry out batch scanning and inspection for various components. Featuring 24-hour operation, Autoscan is claimed to be able to help manufacturers find and eliminate errors, and accelerate time-to-market. Due to the robust software that accompanies the system, measurement Automated scanner launched at MACH
