Commissioning of cold strip slitting line A cold strip slitting line has been suc cessfully commissioned at CD Waelzholz (CDW). The commissioning was com pleted by Kern Industrie Automation (KIA) after the scheduled erection phase at the CDW service centre in Iserlohn, Germany. The mechanical assemblies were carried out by C-Technik.

KIA has also been commissioned, by a different customer, to replace electrical equipment for a coiler group in a strip polishing machine. The client, a producer of tempered strip steel located in Hagen, Germany, will receive power control cabinets, a fail-safe Siemens S7 PLC with ET200 remote I/O units, new drive encoders and various local operator stations.
