Condat SA Condat’s lubricants range offers a wide choice of soaps, surface treatment products and neat and soluble oils. Because each wire drawing plant is different, the company’s experts develop lubricants for specific needs and guide customers to the best lubrication strategy. For wire drawing, Condat offers 40 eco designed lubricants rated through its self scoring Lubriscore ® programme. Particular attention is paid to the raw materials used in formulas, which limit as much as possible the use of hazardous ingredients. Condat gives technical guidelines for the selection and use of the most suitable dry drawing lubricants. The company’s team Hall W1 Rautomead Ltd Rautomead will be presenting at wire Southeast Asia its new model RS 3000SX continuous casting machine for the manufacture of extra-lowoxygen content CuOF rod. The company’s standard graphite furnace technology will produce low oxygen CuOFE (<5ppm) copper rod, which is suitable for most oxygen-free wire applications. However, technical requirements from the automotive industry are driving demands for even lower oxygen content copper rod, eg for use in high-efficiency bar-wound electric motors. The enhanced graphite crucible electric resistance furnace design of the RS 3000SX, combined with modified tooling and production techniques, improves Troester GmbH & Co KG Troester is a manufacturer of complete extrusion systems for the cable industry, comprising CV lines for XLPE and rubber cables, silicone insulation lines, sheathing and insulation lines, and a complete range of downstream equipment such as winders, caterpillars, capstans and accumulators. In China, Troester is represented by its subsidiary Troester Machinery Shanghai (TMS), which is responsible for sales, after-sales service and production for the domestic market. C14

can address subjects such as reducing total wire-drawing costs, reducing the amount of dust generated in the work shop, improving productivity or getting the most out of pre-coatings. For example, Condat can help manage lubricant residuals on drawn wire. Excessive residue can cause problems in the process and is also an indication of lubricant overconsumption, while too little residue can lead to premature die wear. The quantity of residue can be adjusted by varying a number of parameters. These include the type of dry lubricant used during the wire drawing operation – fat type, grain size distribution, softening point and type of filler; and the die type and profile, as the angle and bearing can affect residuals. the oxygen reduction capability of the graphite technology system to produce extra-low oxygen content copper rod. Rautomead will also be promoting its RSL sealed-lid continuous casting technol ogy, designed for processing progres sive alloy rods such as copper chrome zirconium, together with its conventional open-furnace models for producing high-purity oxygen-free copper wire rods and conductor alloy rods such as CuMg, CuAg and CuSn. This continuous cast rod material benefits manufacturers of bar-wound motors, enamelled wires, superfine wires, LAN cables, wiring harnesses, railway wires and transformer strips. Equipment is available for the production of 1,000 to 12,000mt per year for products At wire China, the company will present information and new developments in the field of CCV and VCV lines for MV, HV and EHV cables up to 1,000kV; rubber CV and CCV lines up to 35kV; silicone insula tion lines with Triox ovens; and produc tion equipment for submarine cables. X-Compound is a member of the Troester Group specialised in complete systems for the compounding of plastics with the process steps of conveying, melt ing, dispersing, mixing and degassing. It will present kneader technology for the W1 C16

The company produces lubricants on four continents. Already present in China with a local production unit in Shanghai, Condat is also expanding with a new plant in Qingdao, due to start production by the end of the year. The new plant will allow increased production using the latest equipment and quality management. With local storage facilities, Condat promptly delivers products to any location.
