Interest in greener welding options at wire 2022

“We registered a lot of interest from manufacturers looking for greener welding solutions, who were impressed by the performance of our energy efficient pneumatic and electro-hydraulic cold welding machines. “Contacts were generally positive about the industry despite the current economic situation and we secured a number of interesting orders.”

Commenting on the show, PWM manag ing director Steve Mepsted said, “Visitor traffic did appear down compared with previous years but visitor quality was sound, and it was good to have oppor tunities to meet existing and potential customers and suppliers face to face.

Reunited for wire South America Setic, Pourtier and C2S will be partici pating at the 2022 edition of wire South America in São Paulo, Brazil, sharing a stand with Reichenbach.

The resumption of the partnership between Setic/Pourtier and Reichenbach was established during this year’s wire Düsseldorf show where, after a hiatus of four years, the companies were reunited. The contract was signed during the event in June, with the presence of Curt Reichenbach and Thierry Collard. Reichenbach regains the status of exclusive representative for Setic/Pourtier, their service department C2S, and Bow Technology, being responsible for the sale of equipment, parts and technical assistance throughout Brazil. HFSAB personnel will be available at both events to discuss the latest addition to the range, the high-output Type 5 lead extruder, with new technology for the main motor and gearbox and a new ergonomic look.

Energy efficient melting pots are available for 10-, 18-, 35- and 60-tonne capacities. HFSAB also produces cable-stripping machines – the CRRS and Model SM-H – both of which can remove individual layers without causing damage to the layer below, enabling the outer jacket, lead sheath or triple layer XLPE to be re applied and the cable repaired.
