Round, square and rectangle enamelling dies

WE KEEP STOCK. FOR YOU.

ADC is a producer of carbide, PCD and DN diamond wire drawing dies with close tolerances, as well as extrusion tooling and enamelling dies. Due to strong growth in global demand for electric vehicles, electrical motors and wind turbines, ADC has used its know-how to develop products that meet the needs of these markets.

The company has developed round enam- elling dies with PCD diamond inserts instead of carbide, with the aim of longer life and greater precision in the deposition of the varnish layer. ADC has also developed a new generation of enamelling dies that can be split into parts without adjustment or springs, and are repositionable with ease and micron precision.

This technology allows simple, reliable and fast installation on the production line. The pieces can be adapted to users’ needs because they are made on request. The dies can be manufactured down to a radius of 0.13mm. Rectangular and square shapes are the most common forms. ADC www.adc-sarl.fr

Zero-slip wet drawing lines from Gimax

Gimax, a manufacturer of drawing machinery for welding wire and related products, introduced onto the market in 2014-15 a totally zero-slip wet drawing line that was the result of extensive design in the previous years. The Gimax TRS unit has independent drives for each single block and incorporates a full speed control using dancer arms, adjusting the capstan speed depending on die wear.

The unit also has a spray lubricating system, where the lubricant is sprayed directly into the die to maximise lubrication of wire, over the capstan and then recirculated, providing cleanliness of the lubricant compared to draw benches where the wire, capstans and dies are totally submerged in lubricant that contains impurities. Other advantages include a reduction in mechanical wear due to independent

transmission; no material elongation between each block; energy savings and noise reduction; greater flexibility; the possibility of using different break- down scales or percentages as on a dry draw bench; and optimisation of the lubricant (by filtration and recirculation) to ensure more efficient lubrication, reduced waste and in- creased die and capstan duration.
