Condat has positioned its o er on premium lubricants, so in addition to the reduction of lubricant consumption the company’s lubricants are high performing, enabling customers to work at high speed whilst reducing wire breaks. Condat is committed to supplying the safest possible products. Its R&D laboratory develops products to limit the potential risk to operators and the environment. The range includes high-performing Borax- and TiO 2 -free lubricants. In São Paolo, Condat will present new products of easy-to-use wet drawing lubricants, which o er high bath lifetime coupled with low foam and simple bath management. Always concerned about the respon- siveness of its service, customers and partners can rely on Condat Do Brasil, located in Bom Jesus Dos Perdoes, with a dedicated team of wire drawing experts. Low-dust lubricants from Condat

Condat’s experienced engineers visit the wire-drawing workshop to analyse the various process parameters such as metal to be drawn, surface preparation, die section, number of dies, drawing speed and nal application. This methodology enables the selection of a lubricant with a chemistry to complement the application, meaning adherence, fat content, grain size and form, thermal pro le and additives of the wire drawing lubricant are optimised. Condat’s speci c methodology for lubricant selection is applicable for all types of dry drawing lubricants, whether pure calcium soap-based lubricants, pure sodium soap-based lubricants or a mixture of soap types. It is also appropriate for all types of wire preparation and applications, from mechanically descaled low-carbon steel wire used for nail production through to acid pickled and coated high-carbon wire used for steel-cord production. It has also given increased e ciency to stainless steel wire drawing. The main objective is to reduce the customer’s costs. By matching the lubricant to the process, lubricant consumption can be decreased, whilst at the same time maintaining or increasing drawing speed and die life.

Queins and Stolberger, both Germany- based companies, have been operating successfully for more than 40 years as machinery manufacturers. Customers will be able to view a number of large pictures of delivered machines to companies in the rope and cable industry.

At wire South America, it will present the innovative Laser and X-ray technologies for precise and reliable measurement of product parameters such as diameter, ovality, wall thickness and concentricity. In addition, Sikora will showcase spark testers for the detection of insulation faults, lump detectors for the detection of faults on the product surface, capacity measuring systems and devices for reliable conductor preheating and temperature measurement and control. Headquartered in Bremen, Germany, Sikora’s devices have been developed and manufactured at the site since 1973. With regard to service and sales, the company is globally active, with o ces in Brazil, China, France, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA and the United Arab Emirates. ▲ The X-ray based X-Ray 6000 Pro measures the diameter, ovality, wall thickness and eccentricity of cables during extrusion

The main product are all kinds of high-speed stranding machines, pay- o s/take-ups, taping heads, disc- and belt-type caterpillars, extrusion/ sheathing lines, as well as machines for manufacturing CTC strands (continuously transposed conductors), umbilicals and steel wire ropes. ▲ New Queins portal take-up for reel ange diameter of 5,600mm (220.47“)
