and its air supply line, the air/hydraulic power system and a supply of machine oil. The CP180 machine head can be hand held or mounted on a prop on the side of the frame. The PWM range includes machines for non-ferrous material 0.1mm diameter to 30mm. It includes small, lightweight handheld machines, robust manual and powered models that can be used on a workbench or supplied with a trolley, and large, energy-efficient rod welders. Video demonstrations of all of PWM’s products can be viewed on the company’s multi-language website. As a specialist manufacturer of cold welding equipment, PWM designs and makes its

manufacturers’ needs. For example, the company produces a manual cold welder for wire sizes 0.3mm to 1.8mm but to meet demand has also introduced a powered model that enables any member of the workforce to weld 1.8mm wire without effort. The air/hydraulic-powered HP180 cold welder is portable and simple to operate. The welding head is mounted on a trolley but it can also be detached and used within the limit of the two-metre air supply line. For manufacturers who require a smaller unit, PWM also makes the CP180 – a handy machine in a compact 400mm² carry pack. The pack contains the machine

MODERN cold welding machines are versatile. They can be used to weld non-ferrous wire, profile and rod, as well as different types of material (for example, copper to aluminium) and materials with different diameters. The process can also be used to bond strip. PWM’s ST40 cold welder is designed specifically for welding copper/aluminium strip. The precision-engineered machine can weld material with a maximum width of 45mm and a minimum thickness of 0.2mm – depending on material properties. Like all PWM machines, the ST40 produces reliable permanent bonds stronger than the parent material without

products in-house and tests them stringently throughout manufacture to ensure total accuracy. Cold welding dies are individually made in matched sets in industry standard sizes or custom made by PWM’s skilled engineers to suit specific applications. loss of electrical integrity, helping manufacturers avoid downtime, reduce waste and improve productivity. No set-up time is required, and the ST40 is low maintenance and simple to operate. The machine is activated by a foot pedal and mounted on a trolley so it can be wheeled easily to the work area, saving effort and reducing downtime. To cater for a variety of applications, the machine head can be used in either a horizontal position or a vertical position on the trolley. PWM’s ongoing research and development programme ensures that it continues to develop products to meet
