Candor, founded in 1946, specialises in wire cleaning and plating plants, and is a supplier of chemicals for various applications. The Swedish company will present the latest developments of the Copperjet, a high-speed copper coating plant, chemical or electrolytic, for high quality welding wires. The plant will copper coat the wire at speeds up to 25-30m/s with best possible cleaning and coating quality. A modular design makes it possible to satisfy a wide range of quality demands and applications for CO 2 , MIG, FCW and SAW welding wires, and also stainless steel welding wires with ultrasonic or electrolytic cleaning. The Copperjet is available with optional Candojet HW hot water spray pre-cleaning, high current density spray pickling, and Copperjet copper coating, with looping of the wire or straight wire pass line with Copperjet technology.

Condat will share its long-term expertise in wire drawing lubrication. Among a wide range that includes non-reactive and reactive coatings, dry powder lubricants, oils, pastes, greases, protection and degreasing products, the company will display its new lubricants for the Asian market. To reduce residues, limit costly degreasing operations and improve the quality of the wire, Condat’s laboratories have developed a new range of water-soluble lubricants.

The Beta LaserMike products team from NDC Technologies will debut several new measurement solutions with modern styling and expanded capabilities in connectivity, communication and control consistent with Industry 4.0. Visitors to the Beta LaserMike stand will get a first-hand view of how the latest gauging solutions for wire and cable enable manufacturers to produce higher quality products, increase productivity and realise production savings.

Vicafil SL soluble oils have been formulated to meet the latest wet drawing requirements. Enhanced with biocide and anti-foaming properties, this range can be used for drawing low- or high-carbon steels with various surface preparations, from bare or pre-drawn wire, acid-pickled and phosphate-coated wire, to galvanised wire. The Vicafil SL range is easy to put in solution and leaves a clean surface finish. It also ensures a long bath life. Steel cord production requires a high level of quality and finish on the wire together with high-speed production. New Condat developments are oriented to answer those constraints, including for extra high tensile steel cord wire production. These include: • An additive for borax surface treatment baths to improve the coating weight deposit on the wire. It helps lubricant pick up and extends die life • New high-performance low-borax and borax-free sodium-based soap for high-speed drawing. It allows low lubricant consumption and excellent surface finish • A water-soluble polymer-based product to replace lead-based wire patenting operations.
