Pre-shipment inspection at Eurolls as machine heads for Brazil

Eurolls was recently visited by Fabio Almeida from Engineering of Lincoln do Brazil for the contractual pre-shipment inspection of the multi-pass drawing line with cleansing, straightening and cutting unit of sticks for low carbon and stainless steel welding electrode production. The main technological part, capable of producing welding electrode sticks at 10m/sec, was one of the machines that were on display at the latest wire exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. The line is designed to process low carbon or stainless steel wire rod diameter 5.5mm, draw it down to the final product diameters (2, 2.5, 3.25, 4, 4.8 and 5mm), then clean the wire, straighten it and cut it in the two main product lengths (350 and 450mm). The main characteristic and advantage of this equipment is the capacity to achieve high production speeds maintaining the surface finish, accuracy in stick diameter and length, requested for this type of material, to guarantee smooth operation in the successive steps of the process.

Similar equipment has already been successfully installed in Turkey, Bangladesh, Peru, Bulgaria, Iran, Spain and Germany.
