metal-cutting and manufacturing solutions, has introduced the new Optiplex Ez series of 2D laser cutting machines. The new series includes two introductory models, 3015 Ez and 4220 Ez, designed to offer a user-friendly experience and performance. The Optiplex Ez series enhances fibre laser cutting by combining cutting performance with straightforward maintenance. Designed for efficient cutting processes, the machines offer high mechanical rigidity, precision cutting and reliability. Intelligent functions provide users with supportive and preventive measures, minimising set-up time for optimised productivity. The Ez series offers simplified functions which, combined with the integrated cutting database, make it suitable even for those venturing into laser cutting technology for the first time. One notable feature is the new auto focus torch and fibre resonator, designed to enhance adaptability to various materials in the cutting process. The torch’s distinctive design facilitates quick, straightforward and economical maintenance, as the protection window and lens can be swiftly replaced on site, eliminating the need for specialist equipment. machine tools

of steel or plastic as well as a number of hybrid solutions. Where the cable carriers will be coming into direct contact with seawater, we generally use high-quality stainless steel. The large selection of products and materials means that users can benefit from a high level of flexibility while also being able to rely on the high quality and technical maturity of our products.” The use of aluminium dividers, hole stays or rolling stays can minimise friction between the cable carrier and the cables and therefore reduce wear. The cable carriers also allow for space-saving placement of cables and hoses. Different opening variants make them easy to service. In addition, the steel cable carriers can be fully recycled at the end of their service life. at the front or side of the machine. The robust cast iron structure ensures stability and precision, minimising susceptibility to deformation. Equipped with the new Mazatrol SmoothLx CNC control, featuring a 21.5" display and a user-friendly interface, the Mazak Optiplex Ez series provides intuitive operational functions, making it accessible even for less experienced operators. The Optiplex 4220 Ez has a 2,050 x 4,120mm working area, to accommodate users dealing with materials exceeding four metres. Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd www.mazakeu.com
A specific cover prevents risk of contamination during the replacement process. Optiplex Ez uses a fibre laser source that results in low power consumption and streamlined maintenance, and eliminates the requirement for laser gas. With configurations available in 3, 4 and 6 kW power options, the Optiplex Ez machines are suited to diverse cutting requirements and can integrate into automated systems for enhanced operational efficiency. Large front and side sliding doors optimise floor space, and allow easier material loading and unloading. The tilting and rotating CNC control panel gives operators the flexibility to work
Cable carriers for wind power Tsubaki Kabelschlepp is supporting the expansion and generation of renewable energies with a large portfolio of innovative cable carriers. The robust, flexible solutions for managing and protecting cables can improve the safety and efficiency of the systems and are suitable for the rough ambient conditions, for example in offshore applications. rotating movements occur on the adjustment mechanism for the rotor blades and on the nacelles. It also makes sense to protect the supply cables for the nacelle with a cable carrier. Our cable carriers are the optimum solution for all these applications.” Tsubaki Kabelschlepp products support not only the generation of renewable energy, but also the transport,
installation and maintenance of the corresponding systems. In offshore wind power, special installation ships are used for installing the wind turbines, for example, while the towers are erected using specially designed electrically or hydraulically powered devices. Reliable cable guiding is essential during the entire installation process. “Our cable carriers are ideal for the offshore sector,” said Mr Weichel. “Our portfolio includes cable carriers made
Wherever electrical energy is generated – hydroelectric power, wind energy or photovoltaics – cables have to be protected, guided and organised. Dynamic applications that generate energy from motion present a particular challenge for cable management, as the cable carriers have to follow these movements flexibly. Jürgen Weichel, industry manager oil and gas at Tsubaki Kabelschlepp, explained, “In a wind turbine, for example, different
