Three-in-one last-mile solution Emtelle, a provider of blown fibre, cabling and ducted solutions, has launched RevoLink3, a three-in-one drop cable designed for last-mile connectivity. The drop cable solution integrates advanced features to streamline the installation process, making it accessible and straightforward for a broad range of operators. The RevoLink3 cable is engineered for longer distances – up to 300m (984 ft) – making it suitable for drop-cable in stallations for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) applications. To enable these distances to be pushed, Emtelle has designed the complementary DropDrive™ pushing ma chine. This innovation is expected to be particularly beneficial in emerging mar kets, where the costs and complexities of traditional blown fibre equipment and training may be prohibitive. For installers with existing equipment, the RevoLink3 is compatible with most

The DropDrive also enables cable installations into microducts to become widely available. Emtelle’s RevoLink3 drop cable is also available in a pre-connectorised version, named the QWKRevoLink3. This ready to-use solution, which is pre-assembled and thoroughly tested, allows immediate deployment without the need for complex splicing. “By extending the pushing distances to unprecedented lengths and simplifying the entire installation process, we are setting new standards that we believe will become the benchmark for the industry,” said Emtelle solutions director Colin Kirkpatrick. Controle Mesure Systemes (CMS), a French company and a member of the CMS Group (which also includes Sofratest and American subsidiary CMS Inc), specialises in designing and manufacturing non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions using eddy current and ultrasonic technologies for a diverse range of industrial applications. Since its establishment in 1988, CMS has been committed to innovation, deliver- ing turnkey systems that it describes as accurate, adaptable, comprehensive, durable, repeatable and traceable. Its focus is on customised inspection systems, each tailored to meet the unique inspection requirements and applications of the customer. Within this broad range, CMS provides specialised eddy current NDT systems that are specifically designed for inspecting wire, rod and bar. The robust CMS coil uses eddy current technology to detect surface, subsurface, short and transverse defects on non magnetic products at high speed. The coil support is designed to be easily inserted on a production line. blowing machines, enabling it to be deployed over distances up to 1,000m (3,280 ft). The cable can also be manually pulled for up to 300m (984 ft). RevoLink3 combines durability and flexibility to enhance the installation process. It also features a ‘textured’ low friction sheath, and includes a fibre lubrication system that consistently coats the cable during installation via the DropDrive. The cable is available in configurations of two, four or six fibres, with plans to develop options for higher fibre counts. The integration of the DropDrive, which operates with just a simple battery powered hand drill, further simplifies installations by eliminating the need for bulky traditional equipment.

It supports and centres, ensuring accurate positioning of the encircling coil with the product being controlled, with an outside diameter range from 0.1 to 230mm (0.004" to 9"). This system can display the inspection results and detected defects in real time, providing a global view and comprehensive reports via dedicated CMS software. The durable and reliable system withstands heat, dust and greasy environments. A version is also available specifically for hot inspection. Controle Mesure Systemes www.cmsndt.com
