after 20 stands in H/V arrangement. The sizing block from Kocks finishes round dimensions from 18 to 100mm, hexagonal dimensions from 18 to 80mm, and feeders for the wire rod line. In addition to the machine, Kocks supplied the roll-shop equipment and its proprietary software solutions. The advanced block enables a new level of efficient production at Walsin Yantai. The RSB is equipped with a 4D Eagle® measuring gauge and is connected to Kocks’s Size Control System (SCS®), which allows real-time adjustment of the operating parameters of the rolling block. This ensures transparent process monitoring and quick adjustments whenever necessary. The initiative supports the company’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, and the goal of recycling the equivalent of 20 per cent of its polyolefin production in 2030. Repsol www.repsol.com Repsol’s industrial complex required cable carriers, cable and hoses, configured ready to connect. In addition to cranes, industrial trucks are essential in intralogistics. Various types of forklift truck provide horizontal transport on company premises. offers a net carbon footprint material, considering a “cradle to grave” approach compared to the virgin material alternative. The project was developed as part of the company’s strategy to offer sustainable solutions, contributing to reducing the carbon footprint. The chemical recycling solution is particularly relevant for EVA applications that cannot use mechanical recycling due to the properties required by the final product. With this new range, Repsol ensures the suitability of products for sensitive applications such as food

In its commitment to the sustainability of plastic materials, Repsol has launched a range of 100 per cent circular EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) copolymers. The new Reciclex® EVA copolymers com- plement the company’s conventional EVA range, Primeva®, and offer customers a 100 per cent circular solution certified under the ISCC Plus mass balance approach. The raw materials are derived from various waste streams that undergo specific recycling processes, eliminating the need for disposal in landfill or incineration plants. This new solution

First bar rolled on RSB at Yantai Walsin Steel producer Yantai Walsin Stainless Steel Co in Shandong province, China, has successfully rolled the first bar on its new Kocks RSB® 370++/4. The new sizing block represents the latest advancement in long-product production technology and is designed to deliver surface quality and dimensional accuracy while reducing operating costs over the entire mill line. Yantai Walsin is a subsidiary of Walsin Lihwa, a manufacturer of speciality steel based in Taiwan.

The company has a long history with Kocks, having installed the first Kocks reducing and sizing block with one input drive shaft – RSB 370/10 – in 1991, as well as an RSB 500 intermediate block and a recently installed RB 500++/4 at its rolling mill in Tainan, Taiwan. The new RSB 370++/4 sizing block for Yantai Walsin has four three-roll stand positions for optimal deformation behaviour and yield strength, and is part of a completely new rolling mill for SBQ products. It is positioned

Cable carriers for intralogistics To improve productivity, systems have to move reliably at high speeds and accelerations. Cable carriers from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp ensure safe movement of cable and hoses while taking complex parameters into account. The flexibles required for controlling the 3D shuttle units, which act as grippers for goods and products, are guided with cable carriers from the Basic Line series, depending on their size.

Tsubaki Kabelschlepp supplied its Easy Guide System to a manufacturer of overhead cranes. The flexible guide channel allows the overhead cranes to function without complex festoon systems. The guide channels have easier installation, and no additional steel structure is required. For this customer, the Easy Guide System was part of a complete package, along with the

The advanced Kabeslschlepp cable carrier systems are used in the moving robot gantry units of a renowned manufacturer. The long travel lengths of the gantry units are equipped with a gliding MC0650 hybrid cable carrier. The combination of a plastic cable carrier and an RS aluminium profile offers stability and reliability.
