Davis-Standard acquires Maillefer
DAVIS-STANDARD LLC announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Maillefer International Oy, of Vantaa, Finland, and Écublens, Switzerland. Pending customary regulatory approvals, the transaction was scheduled to close in late August or early September. “Today is an important day for Davis-Standard and Maillefer as we combine two strong brands into a market leading global extrusion systems and services provider to a world-class customer base,” said Jim Murphy, Davis-Standard president and CEO. “Maillefer is a global leader that has built a strong brand based on operational excellence, technology, and providing superior customer solutions. “We are excited to expand our organisation with Maillefer’s talented workforce and outstanding management team.” Lars Fagerholm, CEO of Maillefer, remarked that the businesses share common values that create a platform for cooperative growth focused on delivering best-in-class systems and service to customers. “Davis-Standard and Maillefer are an excellent fit. Mr Urbina brings more than 34 years of wire and cable experience leading multifunctional engineering teams as a liaison between suppliers, contractors, plant and corporate personnel that ensure successful completion of major engineering projects, capital investment, state-of-the-art technology and cost leading proficiency propositions as both cable manufacturer and machinery supplier. His technical know-how of wire, cable and compounding products, processes, materials and machinery, will assist the company goal to fulfil customer satisfaction, growth and development.
