Highlighting the importance of the five-day exhibition, Dr-Ing Uwe-Peter Weigmann, board spokesman at Wafios AG, said: “wire and Tube is the place where the future of the wire and tube industries is actively shaped and we introduce the innovations of the last two years to our customers.” The diverse product range showcased at the Rosendahl Nextrom stand generated significant interest among cable manufacturers, with marketing manager Bianca Kranz saying: “Overall, we are very happy with the show’s outcome and the industry’s response to our manufacturing solutions.” French lubricant manufacturer Condat celebrated its 170 th anniversary. Founded in 1854, the company states that its longevity is based on “strong, embodied and enduring values.” Intras Ltd – publisher of EuroWire and Wire & Cable ASIA magazines – marking its 40 th anniversary, held a drinks reception on Wednesday at its stand, attended by many friends and figures from the wire and cable industry. UK-based cold welding specialist PWM was also celebrating its 40 th anniversary, and launched a comprehensive new range of products including the P1500 rod welder and ST40 strip welder. “wire 2024 proved to be a very successful and enjoyable event for us,”said Steve Mepsted, managing director.“Visitor quality and traffic was generally excellent, particularly at the beginning of the week, and we were delighted to see so many customers and friends, old and new, at our anniversary party.” Many companies celebrated milestones and anniversaries at wire.
