managed, from choosing the diamonds to finishing the product. By following lean principles, Mikrotek encourages continuous improvement, empowering team members through regular training to raise standards. The R&D department works to solve customer problems and introduce advanced products. The company views events such as Wire Expo as opportunities to connect with industry peers, showcase its latest offerings, and gain insights into emerging technologies and market demands. Mikrotek’s new logo was unveiled to coincide with its participation at Wire Expo. The company says the design symbolises its continued commitment to innovation and excellence. Mikrotek Machines Ltd www.mikrotek.in Nordson Control Solutions (Beta LaserMike Products), formerly NDC Technologies, will be displaying several products at Wire Expo 2024. Visitors will see first-hand how precise, reliable measurements along the critical points in the cable extrusion process can help manufacturers improve product quality and increase productivity. Product introductions will include the new UltraScan DSP Pro Embedded Webserver – software that is integrated within Nordson’s UltraScan Pro ultrasonic gauge to provide critical measurement data on product centring, wall thickness, eccentricity, diameter and ultrasonic wall echo waveforms. This information enables operators to quickly set up their extruded products, and to monitor that the product meets specifications. The new Webserver can be paired with external laser OD measurements, line speed (encoder/LaserSpeed) and other discrete digital inputs/outputs to create a comprehensive system. This capability also eliminates the need for a PC-based control application or separate controller, enhancing UltraScan’s ease of use and lowering its total cost of ownership. Other features include product recipe creation and storage; settings configuration including tolerance limits; internally stored manual and Fieldbus files; and internal diagnostics capabilities. Refractron Technologies Corp 603 Refractron designs and manufacturers precise, durable, wear-resistant zirconia ceramics that help wire and cable manufacturers extend maintenance cycles and preserve wire quality. The company’s Izory®HD material with ceramic properties is often featured on drawing lines but its wear resistance and polished surface finish also make it a suitable material choice for guides, pulleys and eyelets. Refractron has manufactured products for drawing equipment made by major OEMS, and its experienced engineers can support the retrofitting of vintage lines with new balanced capstans, step cones or replacement rings, and rolls. Refractron Technologies Corp https://refractron.com 501 Rosendahl Nextrom has optimised its manufacturing solutions in both metal conductors and optical fibre in recent years. The company provides processes for metal data cable production, with an AI-based algorithm to deliver enhanced results in the foaming process. Tighter tolerances and improved electrical properties are enabled. The smart control of gas flow leads to repeatable quality in foaming, and start-up scrap is reduced. Rosendahl Nextrom

PWM’s M25 manual cold welder will be on show

The largest manual machine is the M101, for copper wire from 1 to 3.6mm (0.04" to 0.141") and aluminium from 1 to 5mm (0.04" to 0.197"). The robust, heavy duty machine is clean, green and user friendly. It requires no external power source or setup and is quick and easy to operate. The M101 can be used on a workbench or supplied with a cart. The smaller BM30 and BM10 machine models provide strong, reliable welds on non-ferrous wire from 0.1 to 1.8mm (0.0039" to 0.071"). Both machines can be used on a workbench or with a cart. Also on show will be PWM’s M10 for fine wire from 0.1 to 0.5mm (0.0039" to 0.0196"), and the M25 for wire from 0.25 to 1.2mm (0.0098" to 0.047"). PWM, which celebrates 40 years of service to the wire and cable industry this year, also produces energy-efficient powered cold welders for wire and rod from 1 to 30mm (0.04" to 1.181"). The company’s machines and dies are designed and made in-house and tested throughout manufacture to ensure accuracy. Video demonstrations of the machines can be viewed on PWM’s website. Hairpin extrusion

Rosendahl Nextrom recently introduced the first turnkey extrusion line for hairpin insulation with PEEK. The system makes a safe and reliable power supply at 800V+ possible. The robust insulation with high performance plastic will contribute to reduced charging times and increased ranges by minimising energy losses in electric board systems.
