New generation stationary metal analyser Spectro’s latest Spectrocheck stationary metal analyser, model LMM02, is designed to meet the performance demands and budgets of small foundries, automotive suppliers and other metal fabricators. features allow total flow shut-off during downtime and 70 per cent less argon consumption during standby.

The redesigned, space-saving housing is 35 per cent more compact, and is configured with greater accessibility for easy, safe functionality and maintenance. with advancements to maximise performance and usability, the analyser includes new hardware components, plug-in functionality to enable users to pay only for the functions they need, and iCAL logic to eliminate time-intensive recalibrations. Patented optical technology, optimised for elements found in common foundry metals, provides precise performance across the relevant spectral range, with minimised spectral interference and high Improved and engineered of the targets that are reported in the 2023-2025 sustainability scorecard, and also included in Prysmian’s remuneration plan to strengthen the commitment of management and employees towards the objective of minimising the environmental impact of its cables. In the production of fibre optic cables, the carbon footprint is actively minimised on the optical fibres. This is achieved through enhanced energy efficiency in the fibre drawing process and the incorporation of recycled compounds in the finalised cables. These measures are expected to result in a minimum 20 per cent reduction in the carbon footprint of the dedicated Green Connect solutions using fibre optics. To complement the sustainable intent of the product line, Draka Green Connect has environmentally friendly packaging options. Data communication with environmental sustainability

BU Multimedia Solutions of Prysmian Group has introduced Draka Green Connect, a data communication product line that makes a contribution to environmental sustainability. Green Connect uses 100 per cent recycled copper and other recycled materials, embracing an eco-friendly approach to data communication solutions. The product’s design prioritises responsible material usage without compromising performance, emphasising a circular economy. As a complementary addition to the existing Draka UC range, Green Connect introduces environmentally friendly alternatives of both standard copper and fibre data communication cables. For example, the Cat 6A U/FTP Outdoor cable from the UC 500 Copper range achieves a 70 per cent reduction in carbon footprint on metal, via the use of recycled copper material. The overall manufacturing process in copper cable production sees a 55 per cent reduction in carbon footprint, encompassing the usage of recycled materials in cable jacketing and sustainable manufacturing processes. The new product line is the result of Prysmian’s focus on circular economy and innovation. The increase of recycled content in the company’s products is one
