Coperion’s ZSK technology offers a flexible solution for cable compounds

With the Kombiplast KP two-stage compounder and the EGR eccentric pelletiser, Coperion offers a reliable compounding and pelletising solution. The Kombiplast KP combines a ZSK twin-screw extruder with a single-screw discharge screw ES-A for gentle pressure build-up of shear-sensitive products. The EGR eccentric pelletiser is seamlessly connected to the ES-A and ensures an even material flow through the die plate. The optimised design allows easy integration of a screen changer and an efficient pellet transport. The EGR’s optimised knife rotor helps minimise the dust content of PVC pellets. The system set-up is characterised by gentle operation and short residence time for high product quality.
