The company says that it has carried out considerable work regarding the ease of plastics processability. The success of early customer trials means that Linkflex production volumes will be increased in the coming months. Benvic launched its Linkflex low-smoke zero-halogen polymer compounds in 2020. The Linkflex range is mainly designed to comply with new European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) requirements. Initial applications mainly targeted low voltage requirements in the building market. The Linkflex range is in continuous development, and compounds for new applications will launch later this year. Benvic will be exhibiting its products and capabilities at stand 11 A77 at wire 2022, in Düsseldorf, Germany, 20-24 June. Benvic www.benvic.com

European polymer compounder Benvic has launched new Linkflex grades that provide the performance required for data communication uses, mainly in the fibre optic field and datacom copper solutions. “Our new grades, such as the HFS606 and HFS607, have been designed specifically for the fibre optic market,” said Vincec Mercade, Benvic Linkflex product manager. “We created these materials primarily to provide excellent sheathing properties associated with thin layer that also can be manufactured with ease.” The HFS607 material also enhances the fire performance of the finished product. Benvic approached the cabling market by first creating a dedicated cable product development team that is staffed with engineers from the cable industry. With decades of experience, the team is able to not only propose new product solutions for the market, but also optimise the material content for existing applications and make it bespoke for particular applications.

Hirose’s GT43 series shielded coaxial connectors reduce the mounting area needed in any design. The low-noise connectors comply with the requirements of the CISPR25 radiated emission test standard. When comparedwith traditional coaxial connector results, Hirose says the GT43 demonstrates a significant noise reduction performance. The series has passed the BCI Immunity test with positive results of the “display unit”working normally. The GT43 series is available with six different coding and colour variations, and the terminal features a one-step crimp process to make production more efficient. The connectors have a VSWR value of less than 1.5 (3 GHz) with a board-to wire connection that is a match for most antenna applications. Hirose Electric Europe BV www.hirose.com
