Innovations at the Düsseldorf Fairgrounds range from end products in fasteners and springs, to an ecoMetals campaign, and expert meetings with keynote speeches by key players in the industries. The exhibitors will present not only new machines and plants, but also increasingly sustainable solutions for e-mobility, digitali sation and Industry 4.0. Start-ups with ideas and cooperation in wire, cable, tube and pipe production will complement the range of products and services in the 13 exhibition halls. Traditionally, wire and Tube are among the most international trade fairs in Messe Düsseldorf ’s portfolio, with more than two thirds of exhibitors coming from abroad. Trade visitors from over 130 countries meet at the Düsseldorf Fairgrounds at peak times.

Winoa’s new identity Winoa Group has renewed its branding, with an aim to position itself as not only as an abrasives manufacturer, but also as a partner for eco-friendly surface preparation solutions. The company used to market services and technologies under its brandWAbrasives. To differentiate its range, the group is creating two new brands: W Care, related to the services on offer, and W Tech for all complementary products, tools and technologies. The group is also taking this opportunity to announce its growth plan for the coming years, based on three pillars: the offer agenda with a portfolio expansion; the green agenda with new sustainable commitments; and the digital agenda with Industry 4.0 implementations. This vision towards the future is supported by a redesigned Winoa logo. The grey colour refers to its core business, metallic surfaces, and abrasive medias, while the green dot represents its involvement in sustainable development, as the company is preparing a global reduction carbon emission plan, and the fact that all abrasives manufactured by Winoa are 100 per cent recyclable. The group is also looking for global alignment of all of its subsidiaries. As it has grown through acquisitions, some subsidiaries have kept their name, not capitalising on the Winoa identity. A plan has been launched to unify all of the group’s entities under the Winoa name. Winoa www.winoagroup.com
