ogy for copper and aluminium conduc tors with single-twist, double-twist, con centric, roll forming and SIW conductors. The technology includes double-twist shielding for instrumentation cable; drum twisters, planetary, single and double-twist, and S/Z for cabling; group twinners for LAN cable; strip armouring (50/125mm) including in-line cabling and packaging; and auxiliary equipment including payoffs, take-ups, taping, binders, yarn servers, capstans and caterpullers. strip armouring machine with improvements in operator experience and reduced maintenance will be featured, along with the company’s roll forming of compact aluminium conductors in-line with the stranding process, allowing a range of conductors to be stranded from one round input wire size (SIW). This reduces work-in-process inventory and improves productivity. Also featured will be S/Z cabling technology for high-speed cabling of control and instrumentation, fire alarm and similar cables, which provides the ability to cable from stems and output onto any size reel. Company personnel in attendance will be president Mike Marshall, VP manufacturing Martin Boyne and sales manager Kevin Dancy. Roteq Machinery Inc www.roteqmachinery.com Saizar Strapping Machines SL 13 B32 latest automatic line for wire coils was designed to meet the client’s needs, using wire coils in baskets that have been modified to work in an automatic line. Once the coil enters the line, the next step is to compact in accordance with the client’s requirements, as well as to carry out the strapping process automatically with steel or PET strap through two automatic strapping machines. The line includes a tilting system that helps to move the wire coil from the basket. The wire coil is weighed and then wrapped. The automatic wrapping machine also wraps the inner side of the wire coil. A labelling system places a sticker on the flat surface of the wire coil before the coil is removed by the operator with a forklift. standards, it can reduce CO 2 emissions and lead-time during production. Another environmental issue is the use of lead for submarine power cables. Since 2020, lead has been listed as a substance of very high concern (SVHC) by the EU, and must be substituted by 2027. Rosendahl Nextrom’s latest innovation helps to replace this resource.

10 C78 For more than 110 years, Scapa has been supplying cable tape solutions to manufacturers of power, subsea, control, instrumentation and fibre optic cables. Scapa, nowpart of SWM International, has production facilities around the world. Its full range of cable tape offerings includes dielectric, semi-conducting, bituminised, fire-retardant and water-blocking tapes and yarns. With a wide range of core products, a focus on research and development, and a “made-to-measure” approach for special projects, Scapa can support global projects in an increasingly connected world. Scapa’s cable solutions products include SC24/200 high-tensile semi-conducting tape for power applications; CT50/113 insulating binding and bedding tape with high abrasion resistance; SC36/65 semi conducting tape, used in many global subsea projects; BT1 bitumen tape for bedding and anti-corrosion; and WS(C)M semi-conductive and insulating seawater blocking tapes for power cables.
Rosendahl Nextrom’s RH-W line will be featured in Düsseldorf
The new RH-W metal-forming, welding and corrugating line helps producers to make cables more sustainable, without lead. The metal barrier fulfils several electrical functions as well as many protective functions. Visitors to the Rosendahl Nextrom stand at wire 2022 will be able to find out more about this technology. As bandwidth and data usage constantly increase, the requirements for high performance fibre optic cables rise. More countries are expanding their 5G coverage, while 1 Tb/s 6G is already in development. At the same time, funding for fibre to the home is increasing. Rosendahl Nextrom’s research and development centre located in Vantaa, Finland, tests and improves OVD and VAD preform technology to maintain and even boost limits. At wire Düsseldorf the company will reveal the optical fibre performance that is possible with the latest developments in preform and fibre optic cable technology. 09 B21 Roteq Machinery Inc develops and man ufactures rotating equipment for wire and cable, umbilical and hose industries. Each project starts with understanding the product and process requirements to define machine characteristics, and ends with a machine design specific to the application. The company will exhibit its capabilities and developments in stranding technol Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH www.rosendahlnextrom.com Roteq Machinery Inc
