2010, the company established an R&D centre that was approved by Turkey’s Ministry of Science and Technology. As a result, Güney Çelik has developed new production technologies and shifted its sector orientation toward more qualified products. As well as diversifying its product portfolio, the company’s R&D targets the sustainability of product quality and the minimising of production costs. Its main aim is to add value to the metal. The company sees its ongoing invest- ments as being at the infrastructure stage; it focuses not only on sales volume or turnover targets but also on systems that can be developed in production, marketing and sales. Güney Çelik aims to take part in projects not only in Turkey but also around the world, and exports over 50 per cent of its production to more than 70 countries. 10 C06 H Folke Sandelin AB (HFSAB), a specialist in lead extrusion and cable stripping equipment, will be co-exhibiting at wire 2022 with Niehoff Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG. HFSAB personnel will be available to dis cuss the latest addition to the range of lead extruders, the high-output Type 5, along with new technology for the main motor and gearbox and a new ergonomic design. The company will also introduce new semi-automatic die centring tech nology and lead extrusion controls for saving lead during the extrusion process, as well as discussing why lead should be used instead of aluminium in wet applications. For more than 60 years, the lead extruder from HFSAB has been designed, manufactured and assembled only in Sweden, using the latest manufacturing techniques and high quality materials, to ensure that lead-sheathed cables are produced trouble-free and with a perfect moisture barrier. The HFSAB horizontal lead extruder requires no special foundations, so it is easy to install and maintain. It is fully automatic, with a control system that ena- bles continuous operation for weeks with little or no variation in temperature, wall thickness or concentricity.
