GMP’s range of reels GMP Slovakia’s range of products includes reels and drums for the wire and cable industry, take-apart reels for coil production and handling equipment such as tilters and lifters for reels and coils.

The two standard devices to tilt reels and coils are models TL-Tilter and TU/M-Tilting unit mechanical. The TL-Tilter is suitable to tilt 90° reels with a maximum flange diameter of 800mm and has loading capacity of one ton. There are three versions of the device – a standard version for reels with central tubes with hubs; an all-through version suitable for reels with central tube without hubs; and a third version which takes the reel from the outside diameter of the flange. For larger dimensions of reels and for coils, the TU/M- Tilting unit mechanical is available. This model is usually placed in the ground and carries reels and coils up to five tons. It can be supplied with a rolling system where the operator places the reel in horizontal axis position for the strapping operation.
