For aluminium/copper RBD processes, Nano dies allow continuous processing with no metal loss. The casings are made from stainless steel grade 304 to avoid rust. Using tungsten carbide dies for soft or hard material, there is a chance of dust accumulation in the die, and wire breakage and scratches on the conductor. With polycrystalline diamond dies, diameters can be controlled but variation may eventually occur. Nano is claimed to maintain zero per cent tolerance throughout its working life, with no need for re-polishing or re-grinding. The dies can be used for drawing copper or aluminium for stranding, compacting, bunching, rod break down (RBD) sizes, sectors, TW, Z-shape wire, etc. They can draw aluminium alloy wire, nickel silver wire, brass, copper tubes, and stainless steel or high- and low-carbon steel wire up to 0.6%C, welding wire or any hard/soft wire of any size and hardness. Lower friction results in better copper and aluminium utilisation. The manufacturer claims an improvement of 3-4 per cent in raw material utilisation and better life than PCD and tungsten carbide dies.

No die polishing or re-cutting is required for any metal.
